About MeSo you want to know a little bit about me? I am happy to tell you a little bit the beachcomber behind the site, but remember - you asked! I grew up in Florida as a boy, and have spent many of my adult years here as well. Like many that move here, my life in Florida began by visiting relatives that already lived here. That is how our first Florida beach vacation happened. In our case, our relatives, and initial vacations were in Miami. After several vacations on or near the beach, my parents decided to migrate south. My early years were spent in the Tampa Bay area and the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches. I spent many a day enjoying those beaches. When I grew up, I joined the military, but they even sent me back here for awhile. After many years away, my family & I moved back to Florida once again. I guess once you hear the sound of the ocean, it always calls to you. There are so many ways to enjoy the beaches down here, and believe me I have tried my share. As a young boy, I loved our family vacations that eventually helped us decide to live here. Once we moved down here, we relished in taking weekends away to relax, or just doing day trips for some sun & surf. Enjoying beach parties as a young man were also a blast. I have even camped in the Florida Keys. Now that I have a crew of my own, I get to enjoy the beaches from a whole different perspective. That is terrific too, because there are a bunch for a family to enjoy. So many beaches .... so little time. We now live in Central Florida, and have enjoyed it a great deal. It's location gives us easy access to most of the Florida beaches, which helps me in providing the inspiration to this site. Well that is probably enough about me.
